#1 Collecting The Climbing Gear

For this first week of the project I'm laying out the plan for the upcoming future of this project.

Throughout the last few weeks, I've been asking questions to students as to why they don't believe in Christianity. I researched these questions which tied back to the overall question of "Is Christianity true"?

The Response

“Without Jesus, Christianity is nothing."

In society today, Jesus has become more of an imaginary character or a fictitious figure in our lives. surprisingly that hasn't always been the case. A study was done in 2000-2004 that asked American adults if they were Christian. Their results concluded that 80% of American adults were Christian. Now, 2022, there's been a 26% decrease. "Why?" was my question. Why don't people believe in God anymore. Well Maybe because of the people in the religion? Yeah, but just cause people repaint the original painting bad doesn't make the original artwork and artist bad. Then maybe its because you have to follow a bunch a rules to go to some sky place called heaven? Well no, because with other religions that may be the census, but with Christianity, Jesus says to simply believe he died 2022 years ago for you so you'll be saved. Well I don't believe in Jesus. That is a more valid argument, but not completely valid. At least now there's meat on the bone for there to be a discussion.

The Plan

Throughout these next few weeks I will be chiseling at the foundations of Christianity and answering these hard questions. Looking back this week I enjoyed researching these questions and Biblically finding the answers. The process I had to go through was rigorous, but worth it for the project. Everyday I'd go home and watch videos from Apologia Studios, Wretched Radio, and Living Waters (Christian Apologists) to find answers to these clusters of questions. Because of this week I've been inspired to keep asking questions throughout the year to keep my content fresh and give different perspectives to this overall project. "Is Christianity true?"
